Fire And Safety Officer

About the Role

Saudi Arabian Trading and Construction Company (SATCO) is seeking a Fire And Safety Officer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining safety standards across our projects and requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to support fire prevention and emergency preparedness. This involves conducting inspections of assigned areas, effectively controlling fire risks, and leading safe evacuations during alarms or incidents to ensure the safety of personnel and assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect fire points, extinguishers, alarms, emergency lighting, escape routes, muster points, signage, and access routes for emergency vehicles.
• Identify potential fire hazards including fire loads, ignition sources, blocked exits, poor housekeeping, and unsafe storage of flammable materials.
• Support hot-work control procedures and ensure that fire watches and appropriate firefighting equipment are provided as required.
• Maintain current area occupancy information and assist in the preparation of evacuation plans and warden coverage maps.
• Lead orderly evacuations, sweep assigned zones when safe, guide personnel to designated muster points, and report status to incident command.
• Participate in safety drills, document performance, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Provide fire-awareness briefings and assist with induction and toolbox-talk programs.
• Refrain from undertaking firefighting activities beyond the level of training or where personal safety may be compromised.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 5 years of experience in fire safety or a related field.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The salary for this role ranges from SAR 7,500 to SAR 11,250, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
