The Role: Governance Operations Intern

As a Governance Operations Intern, you will support the execution of governance processes throughout the organization, ensuring that trackers, documentation, and coordination activities are consistently maintained and up to date. This full-time internship is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, and offers a blend of structured administrative work with exposure to how governance functions within a fast-growing, multi-country technology company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the execution of governance processes across various teams and regions.
  • Track actions, decisions, and follow-ups stemming from governance meetings.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely updates and alignment on governance matters.
  • Assist in preparing governance summaries and internal reports.
  • Maintain and update governance trackers, including the Policy/SOP Master Sheet, Risk Register, and Issue and Action Logs, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Flag missing inputs, inconsistencies, or overdue actions within governance documentation.
  • Support the formatting and standardization of SOPs, policies, templates, and internal documentation, adhering to naming conventions and version control.
  • Identify and flag outdated, duplicated, or unclear documentation.
  • Maintain and update the ******* Hub (internal portal) and centralized repositories (shared drives, internal tools) to ensure content accuracy and accessibility.
  • Assist in organizing folder structures, access permissions, and governance standards for documentation.
  • Support the management of the governance calendar, including policy reviews, compliance checks, and internal audits.
  • Track deadlines and send reminders to relevant stakeholders, following up on pending actions and updates.

Learning and Development

This internship provides practical insight into how governance operates within a high-growth, multi-country technology company. You will gain an understanding of how decisions, risks, and processes are managed at scale, working hands-on across Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and Marketing teams. The role offers development in documentation, tracking, coordination, and structured reporting skills.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Recently graduated or in the final year of a degree in Business, Operations, Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to manage tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, and Google Docs.

Work Environment and Collaboration

You will work closely with the PM, Operations and Governance teams, as well as cross-functional departments including Marketing, Event Operations, Finance, Legal, HR, and IT. This collaborative environment will provide practical insight into how decisions are tracked, risks are managed, and processes are standardized across different regions.
