About the Role

People Group Arabia is seeking a Head of Hospitality Development for its client, a prominent private real estate developer in Saudi Arabia. Based in Riyadh, this full-time senior leadership position involves leading the planning and delivery of a portfolio of luxury hospitality projects across the Kingdom. The role requires a strong background in architecture or design combined with extensive client-side development experience.

Role Overview and Context

The successful candidate will drive projects from concept and vision through design, planning, procurement, construction, and operational handover. The objective is to ensure every development meets the highest international standards. The portfolio encompasses luxury hotels, resorts, branded residences, and mixed-use hospitality destinations in multiple regions of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end development of luxury hospitality projects from concept to completion.
• Manage the design process, ensuring architectural excellence, functionality, and guest experience are prioritized.
• Oversee feasibility studies, development strategy, budgets, and program delivery.
• Coordinate and manage leading international architects, interior designers, operators, and specialist consultants.
• Work closely with hospitality operators to integrate brand standards and operational requirements into the design and development process.
• Provide leadership to internal development teams while managing key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Report to executive leadership on project performance, risks, and strategic opportunities.

Required Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, or a related design discipline.
• Proven experience (10+ years) leading the development of luxury hospitality projects for a developer, owner, or hospitality group.

Skills and Experience

• Strong understanding of hospitality planning, design management, and development processes.
• Experience working with internationally recognized hotel brands and operators.
• Excellent stakeholder management, commercial awareness, and leadership capabilities.
• Experience in the Middle East is advantageous, though outstanding international candidates are encouraged to apply.
