Health Safety Environment Engineer

About the Role

The Natural Gas Distribution Company (NGDC) is seeking a Health Safety Environment Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for promoting a safe and compliant culture across NGDC facilities, gas pipeline networks, and customer sites within the company's jurisdiction. The position involves ensuring effective implementation of NGDC's Integrated Management System (IMS) and compliance with local regulations, while also managing QHSSE databases and proposing proactive improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate QHSSE activities with relevant regulatory authorities within the company's geographical scope.
• Assist NGDC's management in implementing IMS policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Operations & Maintenance (O&M), Projects, and Contractors to ensure appropriate implementation of a Safe System of Works, including permit-to-work applications.
• Conduct QHSSE inspections and audits at NGDC workplaces, including offices, gas pipeline networks, and customer facilities.
• Provide QHSSE inductions and training on IMS procedures to various stakeholders, including the O&P Department and contractor workers, and conduct emergency response drills.
• Participate in risk assessment activities with the O&P Department for workplaces, processes, and equipment.
• Develop assigned QHSSE reports, maintain QHSSE records, and track data to analyze trends, conduct statistical reviews, and propose strategies to address issues to line management.
• Support the QHSSE Head in achieving QHSSE objectives and delivering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Act as a Management Representative for conducting internal audits and facilitating external audits and third-party training.
• Investigate incidents/accidents and submit accurate and complete reports to Line Management.
• Execute any other special tasks or job-related duties assigned by the QHSSE Head to meet business demands.

• Candidates should possess 0-1 year of relevant experience.
