HSE Supervisor Role Overview

Wood is seeking a dedicated HSE Supervisor to contribute to a significant project within its Projects business. This full-time role is integral to the development of a new gold mining and processing facility, specifically during its critical construction and pre-commissioning phases. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and will initially be based in one of Wood's offices in Al Khobar, Riyadh, or Jubail, before transitioning to a site-based assignment within Saudi Arabia on an 8/2 rotation schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and regulations during construction and pre-commissioning phases.
• Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific HSE plans and emergency response procedures.
• Provide HSE inductions and ongoing training to site personnel to promote a strong safety culture.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending preventative measures.
• Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, ensuring compliance with project objectives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a Health, Safety, and Environment role, preferably within construction or industrial project environments.
• Demonstrated understanding of HSE regulations and best practices applicable to large-scale industrial projects.

Work Environment and Location

This full-time position will initially be based in one of Wood's offices located in Al Khobar, Riyadh, or Jubail. Following this initial phase, the role will transition to a site-based assignment within Saudi Arabia, operating on an 8/2 rotation schedule. The work environment will involve supporting the construction and pre-commissioning of a new gold mining and processing facility.
