HVAC Technician

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Full-time HVAC Technician to join our team in Riyadh and Ad Dir'iyah. This role is central to ensuring optimal environmental conditions and operational efficiency across our properties. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment, alongside monitoring mechanical plant performance and energy usage. This position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Core Responsibilities

• Inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC, air quality control, and refrigeration equipment.
• Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of the mechanical plant.
• Monitor and control property temperature to ensure guest comfort and operational standards.
• Monitor and analyze energy and utilities usage to identify areas for efficiency.
• Calibrate all controls, gauges, meters, and other relevant equipment.

Operational Duties

• Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring.
• Assemble, install, and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings, and valves.
• Perform routine maintenance for pools and spas.
• Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; and complete required safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards and anticipate and address guests’ service needs.
• Communicate professionally with colleagues and guests, developing and maintaining positive working relationships.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees.
• Capability to move in confined or elevated spaces.
• Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Capacity to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or a ladder.
• Skill in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight.
• Ability to assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing in excess of 100 pounds.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in HVAC, refrigeration, and general maintenance roles. A strong understanding of mechanical plant operations, electrical systems, and plumbing is essential.
