Job Description

About the Role

Si-Ware Systems is seeking an Inertial Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring 0-1 years of experience. The Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design, stress analysis, and structural development of high-precision inertial systems.

Role Overview

This role focuses on 3D CAD modeling, heat transfer management, and geometric tolerancing. The primary objective is to ensure the structural integrity, performance, and reliability of high-precision housings, structural mounts, and mechanical assemblies for next-generation inertial solutions. These solutions include IMUs, gyroscopes, accelerometers, and integrated navigation systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in 3D CAD modeling and the generation of detailed engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor or equivalent 3D CAD software.
  • Support the design of compact enclosures, internal chassis, and mounting interfaces for sensitive inertial sensors.
  • Perform basic stress analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to evaluate structural integrity, material deformation, load paths, and safety factors under dynamic and static loads.
  • Apply principles of engineering dynamics to assess structural performance and mechanical response.
  • Apply heat transfer principles and thermal management techniques, including conductive cooling, heat sinks, and thermal interface materials, to maintain sensor stability across operating temperature ranges.
  • Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure precise alignment and repeatable assembly on technical drawings.
  • Perform basic tolerance stack-up analyses to evaluate critical fits and sensor alignment tolerances.
  • Incorporate Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) considerations for common production methods, such as CNC machining.
  • Support the building, evaluation, and iteration of physical prototypes.
  • Assist in validating structural stress models and thermal performance during lab testing and hardware evaluation.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-1 years of experience in a relevant mechanical engineering field.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.
  • Understanding of stress analysis and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) principles.
  • Knowledge of heat transfer principles and thermal management techniques.
  • Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack-up analysis.
  • Awareness of Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working within a team focused on developing advanced inertial solutions.

Application Process

The salary for this position will be disclosed during the application process.
