Emdad By Elm is seeking a Junior Network Security Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting the implementation, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of network security solutions within the organization.

Role Overview

The Junior Network Security Engineer will work under the guidance of senior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The primary focus of this position is to support network security operations, troubleshoot technical issues, implement approved configurations, and contribute to maintaining the stability and security of network services.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of network security solutions.
• Monitor network security systems and assist in identifying abnormal activities and security events.
• Assist with the configuration and maintenance of firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, proxy, DNS, and other network security solutions.
• Support troubleshooting of network connectivity and security-related issues.
• Assist in reviewing network traffic flows and identifying potential security issues.
• Support security-related projects, upgrades, technology implementations, and testing activities.
• Implement approved security configurations and changes according to established procedures.
• Assist with incident investigation, documentation, escalation, and resolution.
• Coordinate with Network, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, SOC, Cloud, and Application teams as required.
• Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and troubleshooting records.
• Follow security policies, standards, and operational procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and stay updated with relevant network security technologies.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should have 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
