About Noon - Education for Everyone

Noon - Education for Everyone is a leading edtech platform in the Middle East, serving over 12 million students and teachers. The company's mission is to transform the physical classroom experience through engaging social, group-based learning and AI to improve learning efficacy. Noon is currently focused on reinventing schools in Saudi Arabia, operating as a rapidly accelerating, well-funded, and profitable organization. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Role Overview: Learning Experience Head Teacher Sciences

Noon is seeking a Learning Experience Head Teacher Sciences (National Curriculum) to provide academic leadership for science subjects within its hybrid classroom model. This model features a remote lead teacher, students in a physical classroom, and an in-room facilitator. The Head Teacher will be responsible for shaping the curriculum content and its delivery, ensuring academic quality and effectiveness. This is an academic role, focusing on curriculum development, quality assurance, and teacher coaching, rather than administrative or headcount management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

The role's responsibilities are divided across three primary areas:

  • Curriculum and Term Planning (50%): Collaborate with the design team to determine curriculum topics, their weighting, and the overall term and year plans. Review final lesson builds for academic integrity and alignment before deployment.
  • Coaching Delivery Teachers (30%): Provide observation, feedback, and follow-up to teachers delivering sessions, focusing on effective content delivery, hybrid room management, and student engagement through virtual platforms.
  • Delivering Lessons (20%): Teach sessions periodically to maintain close familiarity with content, observe practical application, and gather direct student feedback.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the academic quality of the science curriculum for Middle School and High School on the National track, covering topic sequencing, weighting, depth, and alignment to student assessments.
  • Approving term and year plans developed in collaboration with Design Leads.
  • Conducting the final academic review of built lessons before they are presented to students.
  • Contributing to the coaching and development of the delivery teaching team for assigned subjects, in partnership with the Learning Excellence observation and evaluation cycle.
  • Analyzing assessment data, including Diagnostics, Exit Tickets, End-of-Chapter results, and Learning Gain, to inform curriculum adjustments for subsequent terms.
  • Serving as the academic voice in cross-functional discussions with Design, Learning Excellence, Product, and Data teams.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should demonstrate a strong background in educational practice and leadership:

  • A decade or more of direct teaching experience.
  • Proven experience in coaching and developing other teachers.
  • Ability to apply classroom authority to shape curriculum and teaching methodologies effectively.
  • Understanding of national curriculum standards for science subjects.

Impact and Scope of the Role

This position offers the opportunity to significantly influence educational outcomes on a broad scale. The Head Teacher's curriculum decisions will impact thousands of students daily across all Noon schools. The role carries direct academic authority over curriculum content and delivery, functioning as the final academic gatekeeper. Furthermore, the position contributes to the development of new pedagogical approaches for hybrid teaching models in Saudi Arabia, utilizing comprehensive data from diagnostics and assessments to inform and validate educational strategies.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Noon's Riyadh office, located near the Boulevard. The role operates within a dynamic organization focused on educational innovation in Saudi Arabia.
