About the Role

Noon Academy is seeking a Head Teacher for the National track Math & Physics to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time academic role focuses on shaping the curriculum and teaching methodology for thousands of students, while maintaining direct classroom engagement. The position is designed for an experienced educator with over 10 years of teaching experience who can influence educational content and delivery.

Role Context and Responsibilities

This role is academic in nature, focusing on curriculum development, teacher coaching, and direct teaching. It is not a management position involving administrative tasks or headcount management. The Head Teacher will define curriculum emphasis, ensure quality standards, and coach other teachers, while also teaching sessions to stay connected with content and student experience.

  • Curriculum & Term Planning (50%): Collaborate with the design team to determine curriculum topics, weighting, and the overall structure of term and year plans. Review final lessons built in the system.
  • Coaching Delivery Teachers (30%): Provide observation, feedback, and follow-up to teachers on content delivery, managing hybrid classrooms, and student engagement.
  • Delivering Lessons (20%): Teach sessions to remain connected to the content, observe practical application, and gather direct student feedback.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure the academic quality of the Math & Physics curriculum for Middle School and High School on the National track, including topic sequencing, weighting, depth, and alignment with assessments.
  • Approve term and year plans developed with Design Leads before production.
  • Conduct the final academic review of built lessons prior to student access.
  • Lead coaching and development for the delivery teaching team in Math and Physics, in collaboration with the Learning Excellence observation and evaluation cycle.
  • Analyze assessment data (Diagnostics, Exit Tickets, End-of-Chapter results, Learning Gain) to inform curriculum adjustments for subsequent terms.
  • Represent the academic perspective in cross-functional discussions with Design, Learning Excellence, Product, and Data teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching Math and Physics.
  • Demonstrated ability to shape curriculum and teaching methodologies effectively.
  • Experience with or understanding of hybrid classroom models is beneficial.

Work Environment

Noon Academy operates hybrid classrooms across Saudi Arabia, where a remote lead teacher conducts sessions, students attend in physical classrooms, and an in-room facilitator supports the learning environment. This role contributes to developing the pedagogy for this new teaching model.
