About the Logistics Manager Role

M. M. Al Harbi & Partner Co. Ltd is seeking a highly experienced Logistics Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and involves the comprehensive management and control of all logistics operations within assigned projects. The role is critical for ensuring efficient resource utilization, smooth material flow, and strict adherence to project timelines and safety standards.

Role Overview and Objectives

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all aspects of project logistics. This includes managing equipment, coordinating transportation, and controlling site access. A core objective of this role is to ensure effective cost control and full compliance with all project schedules, Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements, and client standards throughout all logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project logistics plans, ensuring alignment with the overall project schedule and construction sequence.
  • Coordinate material delivery and movement effectively with construction teams, procurement departments, and subcontractors.
  • Manage site access and traffic control systems to facilitate safe and efficient movement of personnel and materials within project zones.
  • Monitor material availability and proactively address potential issues to prevent delays impacting project progress.
  • Plan and allocate equipment to different project areas based on workload demands and operational requirements.
  • Ensure full compliance with all safety requirements for machinery and equipment operators.
  • Maintain detailed equipment logs, utilization reports, and conduct analyses of equipment downtime.
  • Coordinate all logistics requirements and activities with external subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Evaluate the performance of logistics subcontractors and recommend areas for improvement.
  • Ensure all logistics activities strictly adhere to HSE policies, lifting plans, traffic management plans, and participate in toolbox talks.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics management, preferably within a project-based or construction environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fleet management principles, lifting operations, and comprehensive site logistics planning.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Familiarity with logistics tracking software.
