About the Role

UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company is seeking a Logistics Manager for a full-time position. This role is responsible for overseeing inventory management, defining departmental strategies for optimal inventory levels, and managing the distribution and allocation of organizational resources across all company projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the inventory management process, including defining strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reducing aging material.
• Manage and control resource distribution and allocation for all company-wide projects, as directed by the Operations Manager.
• Handle all logistics requirements related to warehouse functions, including transportation, supply delivery, and associated activities.
• Manage the supply and delivery of procured items to assigned project locations, coordinating with shipping, freight forwarding agencies, and customs authorities.
• Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes to enhance operational and financial performance.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all inventory transactions and physical movement of materials from receipt to stocking distribution.
• Develop and execute tools and methodologies for effective logistics plan implementation, including designing standard operating methods.
• Plan, manage, and evaluate logistics operations, liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies, and customers.
• Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining quality, service, and budgetary requirements.
• Resolve issues concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports/exports, or customer service.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for inefficiency reduction and cost optimization.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the support of direct reports.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, ensuring alignment between inventory and system records.
• Interpret trends, analyze data, and provide meaningful logistics data to aid customer service and cost improvements.
• Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in line with company and IMS policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage inventory processes and implement logistics strategies.
• Experience in coordinating with shipping agencies, freight forwarders, and customs authorities.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position within UrbaCon Contracting & Trading Company, involving coordination across various projects and departments.
