About the Role

Alfanar Projects is seeking a Market Intelligence & Strategic Insights Section Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for establishing frameworks, methodologies, and intelligence processes to understand market dynamics, identify opportunities and risks, and translate market intelligence into actionable strategic insights that support decision-making and long-term growth.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and maintain market intelligence frameworks, classifications, and knowledge repositories.
• Assess market size, growth, attractiveness, customer segments, and emerging opportunities.
• Establish reliable intelligence sources and methods for validating market information.
• Define and maintain competitor and benchmarking frameworks, including competitor positioning and industry value chains.
• Monitor economic, regulatory, technological, geopolitical, and industry developments, particularly affecting electricity, energy, and infrastructure.
• Lead market-entry, growth, diversification, partnership, and investment assessments.
• Evaluate opportunities based on market attractiveness, strategic fit, commercial potential, and risk.
• Convert market, competitor, and external intelligence into strategic insights and support executive decision-making.
• Define and own the Market Intelligence and Strategic Insights roadmap, priorities, methodologies, and research agenda.
• Leverage research platforms, data analytics, digital tools, and AI to enhance intelligence gathering and analysis.

Managerial Responsibilities

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to build a robust management pipeline.
• Guide low performers to improve or manage their release.
• Ensure fair treatment and performance-based assessment of subordinates.
• Maintain a delegation of authority matrix in line with company policy.
• Take full responsibility for operations and deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
• Anticipate problems and implement proactive prevention measures.
• Make timely and appropriate decisions.

Operational Delivery and Planning

• Deliver required results in a timely manner, meeting quality and cost standards.
• Contribute tangibly to the area of operation and exceed business expectations.
• Translate corporate goals into business plans and execute them effectively.
• Monitor plan performance, initiate actions to strengthen results, and implement corrective measures.
• Provide periodic work progress reports and control budgets and expenses for optimum cost efficiency.

Organizational Development and Process Improvement

• Develop the organizational structure based on current and future requirements.
• Ensure job descriptions are available for all roles.
• Develop and coordinate well-defined systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
• Utilize IT solutions relevant to the job and business, promoting their full adoption.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role requires an understanding of P&L, profitability, cost drivers, and investment economics to connect market conclusions with business implications.
