Clear Engineering Consultants is seeking a dedicated MEP Engineer to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for overseeing and coordinating all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works throughout the construction lifecycle of our projects.

Role Summary

The MEP Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all MEP installations are executed in strict accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards. This role requires effective coordination with consultants, contractors, and various multidisciplinary teams to maintain project schedules and ensure smooth execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all MEP works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Review MEP shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and other technical documentation.
• Coordinate MEP activities with civil, structural, architectural, and other project disciplines to prevent clashes and facilitate smooth project execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify installation quality, workmanship, and adherence to project standards.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure MEP works are completed according to project schedules and milestones.
• Resolve technical issues and provide engineering solutions to maintain project progress.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, international codes, health and safety requirements, and QA/QC procedures.
• Review and witness testing, commissioning, and functional performance of MEP systems.
• Prepare and review inspection requests (IRs), testing reports, snag lists, punch lists, and close-out documentation.
• Participate in coordination meetings and provide technical support, progress reports, and recommendations.
• Review as-built drawings and verify completed installations prior to project handover.
• Evaluate technical variations, change orders, and site modifications when required.
• Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, approvals, testing records, and site activities.
• Support the successful commissioning and handover of all MEP systems.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or MEP Engineering.
• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in supervising MEP works on construction projects.
• Proven experience in commercial, residential, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical power, lighting, low-current systems, and general building services.
• Familiarity with local and international building codes, MEP standards, and engineering best practices.
• Professional engineering registration or relevant accreditation is preferred.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to review coordinated MEP drawings, BIM models, shop drawings, and technical submittals.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning, QA/QC procedures, and inspection processes.
• Experience with project management and document control software is an advantage.
• Strong MEP coordination and site management skills.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, requiring on-site presence to manage and oversee project execution effectively. The role involves working within a dynamic construction environment, collaborating with various teams and external stakeholders.
