The Role of Nutrition Product Specialist
Abbott is seeking a Nutrition Product Specialist to join the Abbott Nutrition International (ANI) team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The specialist will drive sustainable business growth for the Similac portfolio through scientific engagement with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), hospital account development, newborn and maternity pathway management, pharmacist advocacy, and execution excellence within the assigned territory.
This role combines the scientific credibility of a medical sales representative with the commercial accountability necessary to accelerate the recommendation, recruitment, and consumption of Abbott's infant nutrition products. The position is critical in influencing infant feeding practices through ethical, compliant, and value-based engagement with pediatricians, neonatologists, obstetricians, maternity hospitals, nurses, pharmacists, and other key healthcare stakeholders.
Core Responsibilities
- Promote Similac products to pediatricians, neonatologists, obstetricians/gynecologists, family physicians, dietitians, nurses, and other relevant healthcare professionals.
- Deliver scientific product presentations and educational activities aligned with Abbott's strategy.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with key HCPs and opinion leaders, increasing recommendation and advocacy for Abbott's infant nutrition portfolio.
- Develop partnerships with hospitals, maternity centers, NICUs, and pediatric departments, driving newborn pathway programs and supporting appropriate infant nutrition practices.
- Identify growth opportunities within strategic accounts and healthcare institutions, conducting account reviews and implementing specific development plans.
- Build relationships with pharmacists and pharmacy chains, enhancing their knowledge of Similac products and supporting activation initiatives.
- Achieve sales, market share, and growth objectives within the assigned territory, identifying new business opportunities and strengthening existing accounts.
- Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, and customer trends, developing and executing territory business plans.
- Collaborate with distributor and trade teams to support product availability and monitor stock, distribution quality, and execution standards.
- Maintain accurate customer records and business insights through CRM tools, completing all required administrative tasks and reporting on time.
