About Alfanar and the Opportunity

Alfanar is seeking a dedicated Officer HSE to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements and maintaining basic compliance across company operations. The ideal candidate will bring 5-10 years of relevant experience to support a safe and healthy work environment and assist in preparing critical reports on incidents, accidents, near misses, and lost man-hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report any illness or health concerns encountered by employees and ensure employee welfare is properly maintained and addressed.
  • Observe and ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to work requirements.
  • Help identify potential risks and hazards, assisting in the implementation of basic control measures.
  • Support in updating the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRARC) as needed.
  • Assist in measuring noise levels within the factory and recommend corrective actions or appropriate PPE for affected areas.
  • Report incidents, near misses, and accidents, and assist in basic investigations and suggesting control measures.
  • Gather and summarize employee suggestions related to safety and health improvements.
  • Participate in conducting toolbox meetings and drills, including evacuation, fire, and environmental exercises.
  • Assist in preparing and distributing HSE topics for awareness campaigns.

  • Collaborate effectively with teams to achieve work objectives.
  • Ensure effective communication with peers and managers, demonstrating openness to directions and feedback.
  • Execute planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time parameters.
  • Solve any related issues that arise and escalate complex operational problems when necessary.
  • Follow quality requirements and specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
  • Execute and comply with related tasks as per defined policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

  • Diploma Degree in Safety Engineering or any relevant field.

Required Competencies

  • Safety Awareness and Compliance.
  • Safety Reviews and Inspections.
