About the Role

Envac Qatar WLL is seeking an Operations & Maintenance Technician Engineer to join their team. This full-time position is based in Al Aqiq and Riyadh, focusing on the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of Envac pneumatic waste collection systems.

Role Context and Objectives

The primary objective of this role is to support planned preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, troubleshooting, inspections, system monitoring, spare-parts control, and customer/site support to maintain high system availability. Envac is looking for a safety-focused and technically capable individual who combines hands-on electro-mechanical maintenance with strong troubleshooting skills, disciplined documentation, and a commitment to excellent customer service and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor Envac pneumatic waste collection systems, including collection stations, inlet stations, pneumatic equipment, electrical controls, and associated mechanical components.
• Perform routine, preventive, and proactive maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance schedules, technical manuals, and site-specific procedures.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control-system faults; respond to breakdowns promptly to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections, functional testing, and condition assessments; identify defects and ensure repairs are completed within required timeframes.
• Carry out authorized electrical and pneumatic work, commissioning support, and initial start-up activities in accordance with Envac procedures.
• Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, maintenance checklists, fault reports, and technical documentation.
• Use computerized maintenance and control systems to track work orders, equipment performance, maintenance history, and service activities.
• Monitor and maintain appropriate stock levels of critical spare parts, consumables, tools, and materials.
• Support scheduled replacement of worn or failed components and recommend improvements to maintenance plans, equipment reliability, and system performance.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with Envac requirements, site procedures, applicable legislation, and HSE standards.
• Apply safe isolation procedures before maintenance, including isolation of electrical power and compressed air, lockout/tagout, and use of appropriate PPE.
• Coordinate professionally with clients, facilities-management teams, subcontractors, and internal operations teams; provide technical guidance and site updates where required.
• Participate in shift work, on-call duty, emergency call-outs, and weekend/public-holiday coverage as required by the site operation.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in operations and maintenance, with a strong background in electro-mechanical systems. Essential skills include robust troubleshooting capabilities, meticulous documentation practices, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement in service delivery.

Work Environment and Compensation

This full-time position requires flexibility for shift work, on-call duties, emergency call-outs, and coverage during weekends and public holidays, as operational demands dictate. The salary for this role ranges from SAR 3,750 to SAR 5,625.
