Process and Sugar Manager

About the Role

Savola Foods Company is seeking a Process and Sugar Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves working under the direction of the manufacturing head to ensure that refinery operations within the process and sugar areas are executed correctly, safely, and efficiently. The primary objective is to guarantee that departmental targets are fully achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise the activities of subordinates within the Production section to ensure efficiency and adherence to operating procedures and policy.
• Recommend policy improvements and oversee the implementation of instructions across all production activities to meet procedural and legislative requirements while delivering cost-effective service.
• Contribute to the logistics section budget preparation and monitor financial performance against the budget.
• Develop plans to enhance operational efficiency and minimize losses, aiming for yearly production savings.
• Supervise daily Production operations to ensure work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and check the work of Process Operators to achieve departmental targets.
• Develop the budgetary plan for departmental CAPEX projects and R&M, and supervise projects to enhance process reliability.
• Maintain high standards for operation members across shifts to ensure smooth workflow from start to end of processes.
• Provide daily work schedules to the team, ensuring adequate stock of chemicals and other necessary materials.
• Coordinate with shift managers and align with the manufacturing head to ensure efficient execution of duties across all production processes to meet standard operations.
• Review end-of-shift reports to confirm that work carried out aligns with approved timetables and has been efficiently implemented.
• Arrange training for the refinery team on efficient work methods, correct machine operation, and appropriate work attitudes including discipline, timekeeping, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing head on decisions regarding equipment and labor allocation within the refinery to maintain smooth operation.
• Liaise with shift managers and all refinery departments, in alignment with the manufacturing head, to ensure all work adheres to high standards of safety, GMP, and food safety.
• Monitor activities and conduct regulatory compliance audits and inspections for effective implementation of regulatory standards.
• Supervise project implementation to ensure completion within agreed parameters (cost, timelines, scope, quality), standards, and objectives.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in section systems, processes, and practices, considering international best practices, business process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
• Prepare timely and accurate reports in accordance with Savola and department requirements, policies, and standards.
• Monitor adherence to relevant safety and environmental management procedures and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, high-quality product/service delivery, and a responsible environmental attitude.
• Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Budgetary Responsibilities

The role includes direct responsibility for the BOM & R&M Budget, totaling 27,823,536 EGP. Additionally, the manager will share responsibility for the Raw Sugar budget, which amounts to EGP billion.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
