About the Role

UCC Holding is seeking a Procurement Officer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for optimizing our sourcing processes, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-efficient acquisition of goods and services. The Procurement Officer will play a key part in supporting operational objectives and driving strategic sourcing initiatives within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate the supply strategy, ensuring alignment with relevant stakeholders.
  • Utilize competitive insights to develop strategies that address market challenges.
  • Remove organizational obstacles to enhance internal and external customer service.
  • Represent the organization ethically and professionally, encouraging adherence to operating frameworks.
  • Manage financial and budgetary aspects within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Identify and implement metrics, tools, and processes to optimize sourcing and supplier activities.
  • Lead the delivery of savings and operating cash flow programs for specific product/service categories.
  • Continuously drive operational excellence in strategic sourcing practices.
  • Develop and follow superior procurement management strategies to maximize value.
  • Formulate and manage a strategic plan to capture total procurement value and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Adapt company-wide best practices to support strategic objectives and maximize business opportunities.
  • Engage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve service quality while reducing supply costs.
  • Lead the identification and analysis of cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial targets.
  • Oversee and manage the rationalization of suppliers, materials, and services to meet business requirements.
  • Support the implementation of HSE initiatives, participate in safety awareness activities, and contribute to incident reporting and resolution in line with company and IMS policies.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Profound knowledge of best-in-class purchasing capabilities and strong expertise in all areas of purchasing.
  • Understanding of market dynamics and the concept of price discovery.
  • Proven experience as a negotiator in dealing and collaborating with suppliers.
  • Good understanding of best practices in integrated supply chain management; experience in other areas of supply chain or operations is a distinct advantage.
  • ERP knowledge, with functional SAP skills being a requirement for success in this role.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Engineering.
  • Professional Qualification in a Supply Chain/Logistics-related course or any related technical certificates.
  • 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
