About the Role

Mizuho is seeking a Project Finance Advisory Vice President to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on assisting with the origination of new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and managing financial advisory mandates within Project Finance and Structured Finance transactions. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience and involves close collaboration with the Power and Energy Transition and PFI/Infrastructure team based in London, as directed by Managing Directors.

Key Responsibilities

• Support financial advisory mandates from inception through execution.
• Originate suitable transactions aligned with strategic objectives.
• Ensure financial advisory mandates are executed efficiently, maximizing sponsor returns and adhering to timelines.
• Structure transactions effectively to mitigate identified risks.
• Identify and pursue cross-marketing and cross-selling opportunities for various products.
• Contribute to the professional management and development of client relationships.
• Perform financial modelling and prepare Pitchbooks as required.
• Provide general support and assistance to the assigned team.
• Collaborate and communicate with management across Mizuho MEA RHQ, Mizuho Saudi Arabia Company, and other Mizuho teams involved in Project Finance and Structured Finance.
• Undertake additional duties as requested by the Managing Director and/or Team Head to support departmental business requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Demonstrated Project Finance financial advisory experience.
• Proficiency in financial modelling.
• Solid knowledge of project and corporate finance structures, with the ability to develop innovative client solutions.
• Proven customer relationship management and marketing skills.
• Understanding of relevant markets and sources of finance.

Highly Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with Middle East transactions.
• Experience in Originate to Distribute models.

Further Desirable Attributes

• Sector knowledge across Power, Renewables, Natural Resources, and PFI/Infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of relevant areas of law and accounting.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring active participation within a collaborative team structure that extends to international Mizuho offices.
