Project Manager BESS Execution

About the Role

Gotion High-Tech is seeking a Project Manager BESS Execution to lead utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves managing projects from contract award through commissioning, acceptance, and warranty. The Project Manager will hold full responsibility for project schedule, cost, quality, risk, and customer delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the entire project lifecycle from contract award through delivery, commissioning, acceptance, and warranty phases.
• Manage project schedule, cost, quality, risks, deliverables, and overall execution performance.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, logistics, construction, commissioning, and service teams.
• Manage customer expectations and serve as the primary interface with customers, EPCs, partners, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify critical project risks and lead cross-functional teams to resolve execution issues effectively.
• Coordinate the supply and delivery of essential BESS equipment, including battery systems, PCS, and EMS.
• Build and lead effective cross-functional and cross-cultural project teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in large-scale engineering project management, with a preference for international energy or power project experience.
• Experience leading renewable energy projects is required; successful delivery of large-scale BESS projects of 100 MWh or above is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated capabilities in schedule, cost, quality, risk, stakeholder, and contract management.
• PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project management certification is considered a plus.

Work Environment and Travel

This role requires a willingness to travel extensively or be based in the region to support project execution. The Project Manager will operate within a dynamic environment, coordinating with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.

Experience Level

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant professional experience to effectively manage the complexities of utility-scale BESS projects.
