Project Manager – Future Support at BAE Systems Saudi Arabia

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Project Manager – Future Support to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to monitoring and controlling accounts managed by the SBDCP Future Support CAM teams, ensuring the safe and sustainable delivery of contracted services within approved budgets.

Role Purpose and Organizational Context

The Project Manager is responsible for the oversight and management of services delivered under the SBDCP Future Support organization. This involves developing and implementing robust project control management aspects that integrate seamlessly with the overall Programme, Risk & Opportunity Management system. The role ensures operational efficiency and adherence to contractual obligations within the defence sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and control accounts managed by the SBDCP Future Support CAM teams to ensure contracted services are delivered safely, sustainably, and within the approved budget.
• Develop and implement project control management aspects for the SBDCP Future Support Organization, integrating them into the overall Programme, Risk & Opportunity Management system.
• Liaise with all functional areas to provide essential project control support and manage inputs for senior performance reviews.
• Understand the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and its impact on business objectives across various remits.
• Engage at an executive level with customers and other stakeholders to understand and exceed requirements and expected service levels.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the BAE Systems organization, taking full accountability for the remit and operating in alignment with wider organizational requirements.
• Exhibit personal leadership and management qualities and capabilities that promote and protect BAE Systems' reputational interests, including strong leadership performance and adherence to BAE Systems policies, procedures, and standards.
• Line manage and foster the professional development of the direct team of employees.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in undertaking and delivering business within a Defence contracting or military service environment in KSA or the Middle East.
• Proven experience in project management within the industry/sector, including leading significant and diverse projects with a comprehensive understanding of all parts of the business lifecycle.
• Experience managing customers, contractors, vendors, and teams in the delivery of complex project requirements to specified cost, schedule, and quality standards.

Desirable Skills and Background

• Over 10 years of experience in Project, Programme, or Portfolio Management within a relevant sector.
• Extensive support industry/sector knowledge, including leading significant and diverse military support management projects and teams from a senior position, with an understanding of the business lifecycle, particularly the in-service support phase.
• Experience in Service Delivery within a military aviation environment and management at a senior level, including associated governance requirements.
• Experience as part of a management team within a large multi-national complex programme.
• Understanding of RSAF operational doctrine at operating base locations.
