Retail Training Manager

About the Role

Asteri Beauty (B Corp™) is seeking a Retail Training Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is central to the training and development of retail teams across various regions, reporting directly to the Head of Operations within the HQ Riyadh team. The Retail Training Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing training and education strategies for all levels of retail staff, from frontline teams to retail management in free-standing stores, with the goal of enhancing retail excellence and customer centricity to improve key performance indicators.

Role Context and Objectives

This position involves frequent store visits and is considered a field role, requiring a proactive approach to educational excellence. The manager will partner with both retail and wholesale teams to ensure business objectives are met by diagnosing training needs and developing action plans to drive results. The role focuses on continuous assessment of training standards and the implementation of effective programs to support sales and brand strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a business partner to the Head of Operations, Retail Operations Manager, Wholesale, and TR Managers to diagnose training needs and develop action plans for retail sales.
• Develop and execute training programs for frontline teams, aligning with Sales, Brand, Marketing, and HR strategies, including Brand Training, Make-Up Artistry, Product Training, and Sales/Performance Training.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and track the Return on Investment (ROI) of training programs to foster a performance-driven culture.
• Consistently assess the training and education of retail and wholesale teams, communicating evaluations to leadership to ensure current educational standards are met.
• Create and execute onboarding programs for both store and head office teams.
• Ensure high standards of customer journey and product/service presentation through effective mystery shopping initiatives.
• Develop and maintain effective digital training platforms.
• Create Training Newsletters to keep teams informed about brand, product, and service knowledge.
• Actively monitor and collaborate with teams to build on CRM initiatives.
• Create and maintain Training Calendars.
• Identify areas for improvement in service and operations to maximize store/account performance.
• Play a key role in the execution of retail events, such as grand openings and product launches, by coaching store teams and providing performance feedback.
• Facilitate education and training seminars for retail and wholesale teams, covering new-hire orientation, product training, and ongoing development.
• Work with free-standing store and wholesale teams to identify education and training needs on sales floors.
• Stay informed on consumer trends and competitor activities, providing regular updates to the leadership team.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Extensive experience in wholesale partnership and a retail selling environment.
• Advanced customer service, make-up artistry, and public speaking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to drive sales through the training and education of retail teams.
• A focus on customer centricity and service excellence, translated through educational initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with business acumen.
• Ability to work collaboratively to achieve positive business outcomes.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, requiring regular travel for store visits. The role operates within a dynamic HQ team environment, collaborating closely with various departments to achieve training and operational goals.
