About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Sales Manager (EBC) to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves leading and managing sales functions for properties within the region, with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve property sales objectives. The role requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct targeted account research to identify potential business opportunities.
• Solicit and qualify existing and new accounts that meet company criteria.
• Identify, qualify, and solicit new group business to achieve personal revenue goals while maintaining brand integrity.
• Analyze market information using sales systems and implement strategies to achieve financial room and catering goals for each property.
• Participate in sales calls with team members to acquire new business or close deals.
• Execute and support operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and customer correspondence.
• Assist Revenue Management with completing accurate six-period projections.

Customer Service and Relationship Management

• Display leadership in guest hospitality and exemplify customer service standards.
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
• Meet with guests during pre- and post-convention meetings to gather feedback on product quality, service levels, contract execution, and overall satisfaction.
• Serve customers by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate features and services.
• Develop and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with on- and off-property sales channels to ensure property needs are met and sales efforts are complementary.

Leadership and Strategic Contribution

• Provide positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential, setting an example with personal booking goals.
• Make recommendations on booking goals for direct reports and sales team members for properties within the region.
• Understand competitors' strengths and weaknesses to effectively position offerings against them.
• Review sales and catering guest satisfaction results to identify areas for improvement.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve personal booking goals and contribute to team targets.
• Experience in conducting account research and qualifying business opportunities.
• Proficiency in analyzing sales and financial data to inform strategy.

Work Environment and Collaboration

This role involves working closely with various departments, including Human Resources, Engineering, and Loss Prevention, to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The Sales Manager will also attend customer events, trade shows, and sales missions to maintain and develop key relationships with GSO managers and customers.
