About the Role

KBR, Inc. is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring over 10 years of experience. The role involves reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager – Lead and is crucial for managing executive commercial reporting, strategy, and pre/post-contract activities for a major infrastructure program.

Project Context

The project is a significant infrastructure program for a mixed-use development in Riyadh, aiming to establish a global landmark and an authentic destination. This self-sustaining community will feature several iconic assets. KBR provides PMO services, enterprise-level governance, assurance, integration, and performance oversight across all projects and programs within this development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Project Management Consultants (PMCs) for executive commercial reporting and control.
  • Recommend and implement appropriate commercial strategies.
  • Manage pre and post-contract activities, ensuring accurate status reports to prevent schedule slippage and cost overruns.
  • Produce close-out reports for each project.
  • Develop, implement, and govern standard cost and commercial reporting formats for PMCs.
  • Maintain a database of all insurances, guarantees, and warranties.
  • Compile and validate analytical commercial data with PMCs.
  • Manage executive risk reporting.
  • Develop Project Cost Reports (PCR), Commercial Executive Reports, and Cashflows within Unifier, integrating with other platforms for data consistency.
  • Review existing procurement guidelines for Bills of Quantities (BoQ) and tender documents to develop standards for PMCs.
  • Prepare program-wide consolidated cost reports consistent with agreed reporting requirements for various stakeholders.
  • Collate annual program-wide budgets and prepare monthly cashflow reports for client submission.
  • Prepare and develop cost benchmark reports, including Tender Price Index, Professional Fees Benchmark, and Construction Cost Benchmark.
  • Prepare and issue cost benchmarking templates and elemental cost plan formats to PMCs.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of program change control procedures.
  • Prepare and issue program-wide project cash flow reports and project cost reports, including trend analysis and change reporting.
  • Review cost risks and opportunities, linking Cost Break Down Structure and Work Breakdown Structure, including Earned Value.
  • Prepare updates for changes on the program baseline budget and support business plan exercises.
  • Provide portfolio-wide risk management services to support effective governance, decision-making, and assurance.
  • Consolidate PMC risk registers into program-level and departmental risk registers.
  • Assist the client with the development of commercial strategy.
  • Lead and direct contracts, risk, and other support service departments, ensuring timely production of all required commercial deliverables by KBR.
  • Produce Commercial Reports throughout the project's life cycle.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required.
