The Compliance Team at Unifonic
The Compliance team at Unifonic is responsible for managing and enhancing the company's overall Compliance function. The team focuses on all Compliance affairs to proactively anticipate potential issues and develop practical solutions that support the business objectives.
Core Responsibilities
- Ensure the organization maintains an engagement framework with the regulator (CST).
- Collaborate with management and staff to identify and manage regulatory compliance risks.
- Maintain open communication with relevant decision-makers and stakeholders regarding regulatory communication and its impact.
- Organize regular training sessions for employees to communicate key regulatory changes and updates effectively.
- Support the creation and implementation of organizational policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Research industry Compliance regulations and policies.
- Evaluate internal operational and procedural Compliance.
- Maintain internal regulatory Compliance through communicating requirements, obtaining approvals, and training stakeholders.
- Manage applications for Compliance certification and regulatory approval.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Compliance recordkeeping system.
- Maintain communication with Compliance regulators and follow up on applications.
- Stay updated on Compliance requirements and amendments to regulations.
- Identify roadblocks and propose process improvements within Compliance operations.
- Maintain a Compliance communication register and associated documentation.
- Create and manage action plans in response to regulatory Compliance audit discoveries and Compliance violations.
- Remediate regulatory audits and periodic reviews, compiling identified gaps and action plans.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience as a compliance analyst or specialist within an enterprise-level organization.
- Higher Education or a Bachelor’s Degree in a Technology or Management field.
- Compliance management or project management certification is considered a plus.
Essential Skills and Attributes
- Strong experience in both reviewing and drafting policies and documentation in both Arabic and English.
- Experience with international standards and local regulatory requirements related to telecommunications, data protection, and data localization.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to effectively plan, manage, and complete projects in line with stakeholders’ needs and expectations, and organizational strategic objectives.
- Diligent attention to detail and advanced analytical abilities.
- Proficiency in areas such as Regulatory Engagement & Governance, Policy Drafting & Documentation (Arabic & English), Compliance Risk Assessment & Mitigation, Regulatory Communication & Stakeholder Management, Compliance Training & Awareness, Audit, Certification & Regulatory Approvals, Compliance Operations & Recordkeeping, Internal Controls Evaluation & Gap Analysis, and Process Improvement & Issue Remediation.
- Demonstrated character traits including analytical thinking, problem-solving, ownership, accountability, collaboration, adaptability, continuous learning, mentorship, knowledge sharing, resilience, quality focus, attention to detail, advocacy, and innovation.
