About Parsons and the Opportunity

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Senior Contracts Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to a high-profile Giga-project, where the successful candidate will manage a portfolio of complex, high-value contracts that contribute to the future development of Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose

The Senior Contracts Manager will serve as the commercial backbone for multi-billion dollar agreements, ensuring the protection of Parsons and its clients. This position requires a strategic thinker capable of navigating intricate contractual landscapes and implementing robust commercial strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the full spectrum of contract administration, from initial RFP development and tendering to final close-out and dispute resolution.
  • Identify potential commercial risks and liabilities early, developing and implementing robust mitigation strategies to safeguard project margins.
  • Lead the evaluation, negotiation, and settlement of complex change orders, claims, and variations, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact for the client, subcontractors, and internal legal teams to ensure seamless communication and compliance.
  • Monitor contract performance against budgets, ensuring all commercial activities are conducted with total transparency and financial integrity.
  • Oversee all pre and post-contract commercial and contractual administration, ensuring full compliance with main contract agreements and joint venture parameters.
  • Manage, evaluate, and negotiate complex variation orders, extension of time (EOT) requests, and high-value commercial claims.
  • Provide definitive contractual advice and risk mitigation strategies to the Project Director, senior management, and client representatives.
  • Lead the dispute resolution process, working closely with legal and executive teams to resolve conflicts amicably and efficiently.
  • Supervise the review and approval of monthly progress payments, final accounts, and the close-out of major contractor packages.
  • Establish and maintain robust contract management procedures, ensuring all correspondence and documentation are meticulously logged to protect company interests.

Leadership and Mentorship

The Senior Contracts Manager will be responsible for mentoring and managing a team of quantity surveyors, contract administrators, and cost specialists, fostering their professional development and ensuring high performance.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in contracts management, particularly within complex, high-value project environments. Demonstrated experience in navigating multi-billion dollar agreements is essential.
