PayTech Group is seeking a Senior Data Science Specialist for a contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is designed for a professional with 5-10 years of experience who will serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to our regional (GCC) and global clients. The specialist will be instrumental in expanding our client portfolio by delivering high-quality analytical insights and guiding clients in leveraging data effectively to influence key business decisions.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Data Science Specialist will manage deliverable development and workstreams across various industries and problem statements. Key responsibilities include:

• Contributing to and developing strategies and programs for regional and global clients using data science tools, including Test & Learn.
• Managing working relationships with client managers and functioning as a trusted and reliable partner.
• Providing analytical and technical subject matter expertise to drive client success through Test & Learn adoption and competency.
• Developing sound business recommendations and delivering effective client presentations.
• Planning, organizing, and structuring own work and that of junior project delivery consultants to identify effective analysis structures using Test & Learn, synthesize analyses into relevant findings, and create impactful storylines.
• Contributing to the firm's intellectual capital and solution development.

Required Expertise and Skills

Candidates for this role must possess strong expertise in predictive modelling, statistical analysis, and data interpretation, combined with solid business acumen. Essential skills and abilities include:

• Ability to design, implement, and validate analytical models to support business decision-making.
• Proven ability to interpret complex analytical outputs, synthesize findings, and translate them into clear, actionable business recommendations.
• Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, define analytical approaches, and ensure insights align with client objectives.
• Ability to present insights and drive data-driven conclusions to senior stakeholders, supporting strategic planning and operational improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Requirements

• Previous experience within Banking, Digital Payment & Card solutions, or the FinTech industry.
• Regional experience, including working in a fast-paced matrix organization.

Preferred Understanding

• Good understanding of payment systems, digital platforms, system workflows, security basics, and industry technologies.
• An understanding of regional regulations across financial services or payment networks.
