About the Role
SoftwareOne is seeking a Senior Enterprise Consultant with expertise in Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange Infrastructure for a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires candidates to be current residents of the Kingdom. The consultant will lead the architecture, modernization, and deployment of large-scale Microsoft environments, focusing on identity and messaging platforms.
Role Overview
The Senior Enterprise Consultant is responsible for the architecture, design, implementation, migration, upgrade, and optimization of enterprise Microsoft identity and messaging platforms. This includes managing hybrid setups to ensure highly available, secure, and resilient environments with minimal business disruption. The role involves close collaboration with customer technical teams, project managers, Microsoft, and third-party vendors to deliver successful infrastructure transformation projects. A key focus is on enterprise Active Directory modernization, Exchange Server upgrades, hybrid identity, security hardening, and migrating legacy infrastructure while maintaining business continuity and adhering to Microsoft best practices.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect, design, migrate, upgrade, and lead end-to-end Active Directory and Exchange Hybrid modernization roadmaps for ecosystems exceeding 100,000 users.
- Design domain consolidation, forest restructuring, and legacy AD cleanup. Lead directory synchronization configurations and transition legacy AD models to cloud-based identity.
- Plan and execute coexistence and migration strategies with minimal downtime.
- Deploy and manage modern Exchange architectures, including multi-forest migrations, hybrid configuration setups, and coexistence architectures across on-premises and Exchange Online.
- Architect Entra ID / Azure AD Connect integrations, Single Sign-On (SSO) frameworks, and modern authentication methods including Multifactor Authentication (MFA) and Conditional Access.
- Oversee core infrastructure domains (FSMO roles, DNS, DHCP, Sites & Services) and secure Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) lifecycles.
- Perform health assessments and remediation activities for Active Directory and Exchange.
- Troubleshoot complex replication, authentication, DNS, Kerberos, LDAP, Exchange transport, and mailbox issues.
- Produce architecture documents, implementation guides, migration runbooks, rollback plans, and operational documentation.
- Conduct requirements workshops, define target-state architectures, create Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and mentor junior consultants.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Experience leading enterprise Active Directory and Exchange modernization projects.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing enterprise Microsoft infrastructure.
- Proven experience supporting environments with:
- 100,000+ users
- Large Active Directory
- Large Exchange organizations
- Multiple datacenters
- Hybrid Setup / M365 online services
- High availability and disaster recovery architectures
- Experience as a lead or senior technical consultant.
- Proven track record of managing and migrating hybrid infrastructures for enterprise environments spanning 100,000+ users.
- Advanced working knowledge of Windows Server (2019/2022/2025), Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and Exchange Server SE.
- Expertise in identity protocols (SAML, OAuth , OpenID Connect) and integrating SaaS/PaaS platforms into enterprise directories.
- Ability to act as a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME), balancing technology deliverables with business impact.
- Experience integrating Microsoft infrastructure with enterprise platforms including enterprise backup solutions, F5, Infoblox DNS, Sailpoint, Secure mail, and DLP.

- Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, and Microsoft Exchange certifications.
