About the Role

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a skilled Microsoft AD & Container Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves critical responsibilities in managing and maintaining essential IT infrastructure components, ensuring their stability, security, and high availability within a dynamic operational environment.

Role Purpose and Context

The Microsoft AD & Container Engineer will report directly to the RSAF Directorate of Communications and Information Technology (DCIT) Network Engineering and Computer Center (NECC). The primary purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive administration, maintenance, security, and operational support for Microsoft Active Directory services, alongside Docker and Kubernetes services, and Red Hat OpenShift enterprise platforms. This ensures that all supported services operate reliably, securely, and with consistent availability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support enterprise identity infrastructure.
  • Ensure the reliability and operational readiness of Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift environments.
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, backup verification, and health checks.
  • Troubleshoot authentication, infrastructure, and container platform incidents.
  • Administer and maintain enterprise Active Directory environments.
  • Deploy, configure, and support Docker and Kubernetes services.
  • Deploy, configure, and support Red Hat OpenShift clusters.
  • Manage Group Policies, DNS, DHCP, and authentication services.
  • Monitor platform performance, availability, and security compliance.
  • Coordinate effectively with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams.

Required Experience

  • Strong experience in Microsoft Active Directory administration and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience with Docker and Kubernetes Services administration.
  • Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform administration.
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

  • In-depth knowledge of Windows Server, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and LDAP.
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and enterprise virtualization technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform-related issues efficiently.
