AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is for professionals with 5-10 years of experience in landscape architecture, focusing on significant infrastructure projects within the region.

Role Overview

The Senior Landscape Architect is responsible for the design of functional, sustainable, and visually appealing outdoor spaces. This includes areas along highways, urban roads, and various infrastructure developments. The role integrates environmental planning, aesthetic considerations, and engineering coordination to deliver safe, efficient, and attractive public environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site analysis, including terrain, soil, climate, and environmental impact assessments.
• Design comprehensive landscaping plans for highways, medians, sidewalks, and adjoining green spaces.
• Develop drainage, erosion control, and planting schemes that align with infrastructure requirements.
• Ensure all designs comply with safety standards, urban planning guidelines, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with civil engineers, architects, and contractors to integrate landscape elements seamlessly.
• Prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, and comprehensive construction documentation.
• Supervise on-site landscaping activities, such as planting, paving, and the installation of street furniture.
• Monitor project budgets, adherence to timelines, and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Select native and drought-resistant plant species to optimize sustainability and reduce maintenance costs.
• Incorporate noise barriers, green buffers, and pedestrian-friendly zones into designs.
• Enhance the visual appeal of roads and public spaces through strategic use of greenery, lighting, and material selection.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
• Demonstrated experience in infrastructure or road-related projects.
