The Role of Senior Power System Expert

EGI is seeking a Senior Power System Expert to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on Power System Operations and Security, particularly in the context of integrating renewable energy sources and energy/balancing market integration. The expert will contribute to local and international projects centered on RES integration, security of supply, sustainability, and economic efficiency within Power Systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzing and defining operational principles for power systems.
• Defining and validating power system models.
• Performing steady-state analyses, including load flow and short circuit calculations.
• Conducting dynamic stability analysis, covering frequency and voltage stability.
• Executing Grid Code requirement and connection compliance studies.
• Supporting the analysis and evaluation of grid reliability and security, such as capacity calculation, balancing, and operational planning.
• Assisting business development teams in identifying and pursuing opportunities by building client relationships and developing proposals.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in the field of transmission system operation. The specific responsibilities for this role will be determined based on the candidate's competencies and expertise, which will be discussed during the interview process.
