About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead a rigorous research program. This full-time position involves taking a cross-functional and integrated role to collaborate effectively with other research programs, manage research staff, and supervise PhD and master’s students.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex research studies and experimental innovation and research projects.
• Develop and publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals to disseminate research findings.
• Develop and optimize scientific methodologies and protocols.
• Analyze and interpret data to draw meaningful scientific conclusions.
• Present scientific results of projects at national and international scientific meetings, and participate in Research Centre seminars.
• Establish new research proposals and apply for funding and grants.
• Supervise graduate students and train other staff members, providing opportunities for career growth.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
• Follow all Hospital’s related policies and procedures.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development, as applicable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess over 10 years of relevant experience and demonstrate a strong record of scholarly research accomplishment.

Required Accomplishments

• Evidence of scholarly research accomplishment in the form of publications that demonstrate originality, novelty, significance, and impact in the field.
• Role as principal investigator in at least three (3) fully completed research projects and two (2) ongoing projects.
• Presentations of at least five (5) of the following: keynote lectures, invited presentations, and oral talks selected from meeting abstracts.
• Academic involvement in education and training activities.

Work Environment

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre. It is a full-time role within a dynamic research environment.
