About the Role
Qiddiya is seeking a Senior Specialist Tax to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to overseeing all tax-related activities within the company, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations. The role requires a strategic approach to tax matters, contributing directly to Qiddiya's financial objectives.
Role Overview
As a pivotal member of the Qiddiya Investment Company team, the Senior Specialist Tax will apply a deep understanding of the tax landscape. This position demands excellent analytical abilities and strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with various internal and external stakeholders, providing critical tax insights and guidance to support the company's financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring adherence to tax compliance requirements.
- Provide strategic tax planning and advice to senior management to optimize the organization's tax position.
- Manage and coordinate relationships with external tax advisors and government officials.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation affecting the company and assess potential impacts.
- Develop and implement tax policies that align with the overall business strategy.
- Guide internal teams on tax implications of various business operations and transactions.
- Lead tax audits and prepare necessary documentation and responses to inquiries from tax authorities.
- Prepare reports for executive management and key stakeholders regarding tax matters and compliance status.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Advanced degrees or certifications (*, CPA, CA) are preferred.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in tax management or advisory roles.
- Thorough knowledge of tax legislation, compliance, and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing tax audits and implementing compliance strategies.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments as a team player.
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
