About Tabby and the Role

Tabby (تابي), a fast-growing fintech company, is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to supporting the tax function across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and the wider GCC region, operating within a dynamic and high-growth environment.

Role Overview

The Senior Tax Associate will manage tax compliance, audits, and transfer pricing activities. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure Tabby maintains full regulatory compliance in a rapidly evolving fintech landscape. The role requires 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare corporate tax, Zakat, VAT, and withholding tax compliance, including accurate calculation, filing, and payment within regulatory deadlines.
  • Calculate and record monthly and year-end tax provisions, ensuring completeness and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive audit-ready documentation to support tax positions and regulatory submissions.
  • Manage end-to-end ZATCA portal activities, including registration updates, return submissions, and responses to queries or notices.
  • Support statutory audits and tax audits/inspections by liaising with external auditors and ZATCA officials, and preparing required schedules and reconciliations.
  • Monitor changes in KSA tax legislation (Zakat, CIT, VAT, WHT, e-invoicing/ZATCA Fatoora requirements) and assess their impact on business operations.
  • Ensure e-invoicing (FATOORA) compliance in coordination with IT and finance teams, including Phase 2 integration requirements.
  • Review contracts, invoices, and cross-border transactions to determine correct WHT treatment and ensure timely remittance.
  • Assist in transfer pricing documentation and related-party disclosures as required under Saudi regulations.
  • Support month-end and year-end close activities related to tax accounting, including deferred tax computations where applicable.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation of tax compliance workflows within the ERP system.
  • Respond to and manage correspondence, assessments, and disputes with ZATCA, escalating complex matters appropriately.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • 5-10 years of experience in tax reporting and compliance, or external audit.
  • Prior experience preferably gained within a fintech company, bank, or a Big 4 environment.
