Tarshid is seeking a highly skilled Solar Technical Project Manager to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position is central to the technical execution and quality assurance of our solar projects within the region.

Role Overview

The Solar Technical Project Manager will provide essential day-to-day technical support, working closely with the Technical Program Manager/Portfolio Manager. This role ensures technical and quality compliance across all solar projects, involves supporting the review and analysis of technical matters, implementing strategic initiatives, and preparing detailed reports for the Technical Services Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical designs for utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar PV systems.
• Perform load analysis, system sizing, cable sizing, circuit breaker sizing, and energy yield calculations using industry-standard tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or equivalent software.
• Create single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematics, and layout drawings using AutoCAD or similar software.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate solar resource potential and system compatibility, analyzing geographic, climatic, and shading factors to optimize design and performance.
• Prepare comprehensive technical specifications for solar components, including inverters, modules, and mounting structures.
• Collaborate with procurement teams to evaluate vendor proposals and ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Provide technical support during project initiation, design, construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting, working closely with project managers, civil engineers, and contractors.
• Ensure all designs comply with local and international electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and relevant legislation to recommend innovative solutions for improved efficiency and cost reduction.
• Implement industry best practices for design and project execution.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in solar technical project management.
• Demonstrated track record and history of successful project delivery in the solar sector.

Required Technical Expertise

• Proficiency in solar PV system design software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or equivalent.
• Expertise in AutoCAD or similar software for creating electrical drawings.
• Strong knowledge of LV, MV, and HV interconnection and design assessment.
• Familiarity with local and international electrical codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations pertaining to solar projects.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
