About the Role

Catrion Group is seeking a Specialist, Food Safety & Quality Assurance to join their team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position focused on monitoring and ensuring food safety and quality standards across various operational units.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor Food Safety & Quality Assurance activities within the unit and associated outlets, including Ramp office, Canteens, camp kitchen, and Al Fursan lounges.
• Maintain comprehensive food Safety & Quality Assurance records.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager to resolve food Safety & Quality Assurance issues.
• Train and evaluate new Quality Control staff, submitting necessary reports.
• Liaise with different sections of the unit to address food Safety & Quality Assurance concerns based on daily hygiene assessments.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports.
• Oversee and maintain pest control activities conducted by contractors.
• Ensure Quality Controllers conduct regular laboratory activities, including sample collection (food, water, handprints, cleaning controls).
• Investigate customer complaints, providing feedback and corrective actions to the Section Head.
• Provide new hire, refresher, and on-the-job training for all food handlers according to the training schedule.
• Liaise with the medical department for food handler certificates, staff clearance, and infection control.
• Conduct follow-up hygiene inspections of supplier premises and outlets as assigned.
• Prepare rosters to ensure 24-hour coverage of food Safety & Quality Assurance activities.
• Coordinate with the Site Manager regarding the annual department budget.
• Ensure the optimal use of stationery, printing, office supplies, and laboratory chemicals.
• Complete any other related tasks assigned by the Site Manager.
• Act as Site Manager during their absence.
• Conduct safety inspections and prepare reports.
• Identify safety training needs in the workplace.
• Maintain awareness of active and developing situations.
• Assist accident investigation teams.
• Conduct on-the-job training, toolbox talks, and safety brief awareness sessions.
• Inspect the site to ensure a hazard-free environment.
• Verify that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
• Promote safe practices at the job site and enforce safety guidelines.
• Respond to employee safety concerns.
• Cover different locations as per work needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Knowledge of Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS).
• Appropriate knowledge of systems to maintain food Safety & Quality Assurance standards.
• Good oratory skills for communication and providing food safety and hygiene training.
• Knowledge of Laboratory Analysis.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role requires flexibility to cover different locations as needed.
