About the Role

alfanar Group is seeking a Specialist, Freight to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is responsible for managing customs clearance activities for both import and export shipments, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. The position supports the timely delivery of goods through effective shipment planning, monitoring, and problem resolution.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to facilitate the smooth and compliant movement of goods by preparing necessary documentation, coordinating with freight forwarders and relevant authorities, and ensuring all customs procedures are followed accurately. This involves a focus on legal and regulatory adherence to support efficient logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review shipping requests (IBD) from purchase officers for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and coordinate with purchase officers to resolve any discrepancies found in purchase orders.
• Verify that cargo descriptions align with alfanar’s legal duty exemption criteria and match specified materials.
• Initiate exemption requests for items not currently included in the existing exemption list.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 0-1 years of relevant experience.
