The Role of Splunk Engineer

Exequt is seeking a Splunk Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves designing, deploying, and optimizing Splunk environments for critical functions such as security monitoring, log management, SIEM, and operational intelligence. The Splunk Engineer will collaborate closely with Security Operations Center (SOC), cybersecurity, infrastructure, and network teams to ensure robust and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Splunk Enterprise and its core components, including Search Heads, Indexers, Forwarders, and Deployment Servers.
• Manage distributed and clustered Splunk environments, encompassing indexes, sourcetypes, data retention policies, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Monitor platform health, performance, and availability, and troubleshoot indexing and search-related issues.
• Onboard logs from various security and IT sources, managing forwarders, data inputs, and field extractions on Linux/Unix systems.
• Provide support for Splunk Enterprise Security (ES), including the development and management of correlation searches, detections, alerts, notable events, and dashboards.
• Assist SOC teams with security searches and investigations.

Required Skills and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess practical, hands-on experience as a Splunk specialist. A strong understanding of securing enterprise environments is essential, alongside the technical proficiency required to manage and optimize complex Splunk deployments effectively.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Compensation for this role is structured on a performance-based model.
