About the SR. Authorization Specialist Role

alfanar is seeking a full-time SR. Authorization Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This role is central to ensuring the organization's operations adhere to established policies and regulatory requirements.

Purpose of the Role

The SR. Authorization Specialist is responsible for overseeing and managing authorization processes, including granting or denying access to systems, data, or resources based on established criteria. This position contributes significantly to the overall security and compliance efforts of alfanar, safeguarding sensitive information and ensuring that only authorized personnel access critical assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and implement authorization policies and procedures in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the entire authorization lifecycle, from user onboarding to access modification and offboarding, collaborating with IT and security teams.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in authorization processes and implement mitigation measures.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with internal policies and external regulations through regular audits.
  • Provide training to employees on proper authorization procedures and security best practices.
  • Develop and implement incident response plans related to unauthorized access or breaches, investigating and reporting on security incidents.
  • Maintain detailed records of authorization activities, changes, and incidents, generating regular reports for management.
  • Collaborate with IT, security, and compliance teams, and external auditors, to ensure a holistic approach to authorization and security.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency in authorization workflows, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in emergency response plans related to security incidents, coordinating with relevant teams.

Operational Accountabilities

In addition to core responsibilities, the SR. Authorization Specialist will be accountable for:

  • Providing leadership, coaching, and direction to subordinates, including training and delegating assignments to ensure effective work and fair task distribution.
  • Performing planned activities to meet operational and development targets, utilizing resources effectively, and providing periodic reports on progress and deviations.
  • Resolving operational problems and escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Ensuring quality requirements are met and developing effective quality control processes.
  • Coordinating well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seeking automation opportunities.
  • Complying with all related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience is required for this role.
