Sr. Engineer Projects Demand Planning

About the Role

alfanar Group is seeking a Sr. Engineer Projects Demand Planning to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time role is crucial for supporting project execution by ensuring accurate demand forecasts, coordinating material requirements, and aligning engineering inputs with supply chain planning. The successful candidate will monitor demand trends and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resource availability for ongoing and upcoming projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed demand forecasts based on project schedules, engineering inputs, and historical consumption data. Analyze forecast accuracy and adjust plans to reflect changes in project scope or timelines.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering teams, and procurement to validate material and resource requirements. Align demand planning activities with project milestones to avoid delays or shortages.
• Convert demand forecasts into material planning actions and follow up with procurement and warehouse teams. Track material availability and escalate potential delays to ensure continuous project progress.
• Maintain updated records of demand forecasts, material plans, and actual usage for each project. Generate regular reports on forecast accuracy, material readiness, and planning performance.
• Identify gaps in the demand planning process and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Support the implementation of planning tools and systems related to project-based forecasting.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to validate material readiness and planning assumptions. Communicate forecast updates, deviations, and risks to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.

• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules, utilizing resources effectively within efficient cost and time. Provide periodic reports detailing deviations and execution of planned tasks.

• Ensure quality requirements are met to develop effective quality control and processes, including specifications for products, processes, or related activities.
• Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, and seek automation opportunities where possible.
• Comply with relevant policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within the defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates should possess 6-10 years of relevant experience.
