About the Role

Uplift People Consulting is seeking two Technical Project Managers for a global deep-tech client expanding its operations in Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with specific project assignments potentially requiring work in Dhahran. The client specializes in developing quantum processors, cloud-based platforms, and advanced software solutions for industrial and scientific applications.

One Project Manager will manage a portfolio of technical and customer projects across Saudi Arabia. The second Project Manager will focus primarily on projects delivered in partnership with Saudi Aramco.

Key Responsibilities

The Technical Project Manager will oversee projects from design and planning through delivery and closure, ensuring alignment with technical, commercial, and quality requirements. Responsibilities include:

  • Gathering business and technical requirements to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
  • Assessing project feasibility with technical teams and developing detailed project plans, including milestones, budgets, and resource needs.
  • Identifying technical, operational, and commercial risks, and establishing mitigation plans.
  • Defining project governance, roles, responsibilities, and working methods, securing stakeholder approval, and formally launching projects.
  • Leading projects from kickoff to final delivery, monitoring progress, budget consumption, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinating internal contributors, customers, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Ensuring deliverables meet agreed technical, commercial, and quality standards.
  • Identifying issues and dependencies early, guiding teams toward practical solutions, and managing changes in scope, schedule, resources, or customer requirements.
  • Preparing clear dashboards and reports for project committees and senior stakeholders.
  • Organizing and documenting customer reviews, internal reviews, steering committees, and decision meetings.
  • Maintaining strong communication between commercial, technical, and customer teams.
  • Confirming completion and acceptance of all project deliverables, finalizing and archiving project documentation.
  • Leading project-closure and lessons-learned reviews, and recommending improvements to project-management methods and tools.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A technical, engineering, or similarly relevant degree.
  • At least three years of successful experience managing complex technology, engineering, or industrial projects.
  • Strong ownership of schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and project deliverables.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary and matrix teams.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical specialists and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive, structured, and delivery-focused working style.

Additional Requirements for Aramco-Dedicated Position

For the Project Manager dedicated to Saudi Aramco projects, additional requirements include:

  • Experience managing customer-facing projects within Saudi Arabia.
  • Confidence operating within complex governance and stakeholder structures.
  • Experience in energy, industrial technology, advanced computing, AI, or cloud.
  • Previous experience with Saudi Aramco or another major Saudi enterprise is a strong advantage.

Work Environment

This role requires working from the Riyadh office approximately two to three days per week. The Project Manager supporting Aramco projects will also be required to work from Aramco’s premises in Dhahran for approximately one to two weeks per month.
