Traffic Inspector Road and Bridges: Opportunity in Riyadh

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a qualified Traffic Inspector Road and Bridges to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time role is essential for supporting traffic management activities across active road construction sites, ensuring safety and compliance within the region.

Role Purpose and Context

The Traffic Inspector will play a critical role in overseeing and verifying traffic arrangements on site. This involves ensuring the proper implementation of approved traffic management plans, continuously monitoring on-site traffic flow, and coordinating effectively with contractors and authorities to maintain stringent safety standards and regulatory adherence throughout construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify traffic diversion setups on site as per approved Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
• Monitor live traffic conditions and recommend corrective actions to ensure smooth flow and safety.
• Ensure proper installation and maintenance of signage, barriers, cones, delineators, and lighting.
• Conduct site assessments to identify risks and provide solutions for safe vehicle and pedestrian movement.
• Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, and government authorities on diversion arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with local traffic regulations and safety standards.
• Report non-conformities and follow up on rectifications.
• Prepare daily site inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on site experience in traffic inspection or traffic diversions in road construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of traffic control devices, road safety procedures, and diversion execution.
• Experience working with live traffic environments and fast-paced construction sites.
• Ability to interpret and enforce Traffic Management Plans.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with Saudi traffic regulations and standards.
