Role Overview
AtkinsRéalis is seeking a qualified Traffic Inspector Roads and Highway to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is essential for supporting traffic management activities across active road construction sites. The inspector will be responsible for overseeing traffic arrangements, ensuring the proper implementation of approved traffic management plans, and monitoring on-site traffic flow to maintain safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and verify traffic diversion setups on site as per approved Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
- Monitor live traffic conditions and recommend corrective actions to ensure smooth flow and safety.
- Ensure proper installation and maintenance of signage, barriers, cones, delineators, and lighting.
- Conduct site assessments to identify risks and provide solutions for safe vehicle and pedestrian movement.
- Coordinate with contractors, site engineers, and government authorities on diversion arrangements.
- Ensure compliance with local traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Report non-conformities and follow up on rectifications.
- Prepare daily site inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation, or a related field.
- Between 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant capacity.
- Demonstrated experience working within live traffic environments and fast-paced construction sites.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of traffic control devices, road safety procedures, and diversion execution.
- Ability to interpret and enforce Traffic Management Plans.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Familiarity with Saudi traffic regulations and standards.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, requiring regular on-site presence at active road construction projects. The role involves direct coordination with various stakeholders to ensure the continuous safety and efficiency of traffic management operations.
