About the Role

Amazon Saudi Arabia (ex-Souq) is seeking a Value Added Services (VAS) Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for maintaining and enhancing relationships with our last-mile delivery partners. The role focuses on ensuring efficient service delivery and fostering successful, long-term partnerships by addressing operational needs and implementing effective processes.

Key Responsibilities

The VAS Specialist is responsible for managing a comprehensive suite of value-added services, ranging from legal support to insurance offers and uniforms. This involves ensuring these services effectively meet the demands of both internal Amazon stakeholders and external Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) within the last-mile network. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring value-added services align with the needs of internal Amazon teams and external Delivery Service Providers (DSPs).
• Negotiating services on behalf of partners to contribute to their operational success.
• Identifying and implementing new services to enhance partner offerings.
• Proactively challenging existing processes and the status quo to drive continuous improvement.

Daily Operations

The role is based at the DRY3 facility and requires regular visits to various sites and stores. This on-site presence provides direct visibility into the delivery process, enabling effective guidance for logistics partners. The specialist will manage all aspects of partner relationships, from contract initiation to performance monitoring. Additionally, daily tasks include building analytical dashboards, conducting deep analytical dives into data, and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support key business priorities.

About the Team

The Amazon Logistics (AMZL) team manages last-mile delivery operations in collaboration with third-party distribution businesses. The team leverages creative thinking and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure millions of physical products reach customers efficiently. The primary objective is to provide a seamless delivery experience and implement global delivery solutions for Amazon's newest concepts.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this full-time role should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience. Essential capabilities include strong relationship-building skills, effective negotiation abilities, and a proven capacity for data analysis, dashboard creation, and the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support business objectives.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the primary base at the DRY3 facility. The role requires regular travel to various operational sites and stores to ensure close engagement with delivery processes and partners.
