About the Role

Aventus Global Talent is seeking a Vice President, Investment Banking with a focus on M&A, to join the team in Riyadh. This full-time position is suitable for a technically proficient M&A banker who combines strong transaction execution capabilities with commercial judgment. The role involves identifying opportunities within existing client relationships and working closely with senior management.

Role Responsibilities

The Vice President will play a hands-on role in taking transactions from initial idea through to completion, with potential exposure to ECM mandates. Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing M&A transactions across Saudi Arabia and the broader GCC, including acquisitions, disposals, mergers, JVs, strategic investments, and other corporate transactions.
  • Leading the day-to-day execution of transactions, coordinating internal teams, clients, and external advisers.
  • Building and reviewing detailed financial models, including DCF, trading and transaction comparables, merger models, accretion/dilution analysis, and scenario analysis.
  • Leading valuation analysis and developing transaction structures and strategic alternatives.
  • Preparing high-quality pitch books, board presentations, teasers, information memoranda, and other transaction materials.
  • Supporting senior bankers in client discussions and increasingly taking ownership of client interactions and transaction workstreams.
  • Identifying and developing M&A opportunities from the bank’s balance sheet, corporate banking, and existing client relationships, working closely with relationship and coverage teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong background in investment banking with specific M&A expertise. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • 6–10 years of investment banking experience, with substantial M&A exposure.
  • Demonstrated experience in M&A execution, with a track record across the full transaction lifecycle.
  • Excellent financial modelling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience across mid-market and/or large-cap transactions; experience with both is highly advantageous.
  • Experience within the GCC region is highly advantageous.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh and involves working within a collaborative investment banking team. The position offers the opportunity to engage with senior management and coverage teams while contributing to significant transactions across the region.
