Wood Polisher & Painter

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Wood Polisher & Painter to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position for an individual with 0-1 years of experience, responsible for applying various finishes to property walls, ceilings, and furniture, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and furniture using brushes, spray guns, or rollers.
• Prepare new surfaces for finish coats by applying primers or sealers.
• Remove old finishes through stripping, sanding, wire brushing, burning, or using water and/or abrasive blasting.
• Cover surfaces with appropriate protective materials during painting and display relevant paint signs.
• Clean and properly store paint, tools, and equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors to adjust colors of paint, stain, or varnish as needed.

Operational Duties and Standards

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Ensure confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs.
• Assist individuals with disabilities and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with colleagues and guests.
• Support team efforts to achieve common goals and ensure adherence to quality expectations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Capable of moving up and down a ladder.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of various sizes and weights.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: A Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree is preferred.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
