About the Role

BD Holding is seeking a Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is based at the company's factory and project sites, operating within the furniture and woodworking manufacturing sector. The QA/QC Officer will be directly responsible for overseeing the quality of manufacturing lines and woodworking operations, ensuring all products and projects comply with engineering plans and approved technical specifications prior to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Manufacturing and Production Quality Monitoring:

  • Inspect raw materials, including wood, accessories, and primary materials, to ensure quality and specifications are met before production.
  • Conduct periodic in-process inspections of manufacturing and production lines to ensure the integrity of cutting, assembly, painting, and finishing stages for furniture, kitchens, cabinets, and doors.
  • Perform field inspections within the factory and at installation/delivery sites to verify execution and installation accuracy.

• Technical Audit and Compliance Assurance:

  • Review engineering plans and shop drawings to ensure the final product accurately conforms to specifications.
  • Identify and accurately document technical deviations and defects in products.

• Corrective Actions and Reporting:

  • Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and collaborate with relevant teams to determine the root causes of defects.
  • Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions with production and project teams, ensuring all observations are closed before delivery.
  • Submit periodic reports to management on quality levels, defect rates, and performance improvement indicators.

Qualifications and Experience

• Nationality: Saudi national.
• Education: Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering (Industrial/Mechanical), Quality Management, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC), with a strong preference for experience in furniture factories, kitchens, joinery, and woodwork.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering plans and shop drawings.
  • Extensive knowledge of wood and finishing quality standards and tests.
  • Proficiency in writing and preparing inspection reports and technical observations.

  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in the field and coordinate between production and project teams.
