Role Overview

Parsons Corporation is seeking an Architectural Design Manager to join its team in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves leading the planning, design, technical coordination, and delivery of complex architectural projects across commercial, infrastructure, and transportation developments. The Architectural Design Manager will provide leadership from concept through construction, ensuring design excellence, technical compliance, and successful project delivery in accordance with client requirements and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, design, coordination, and technical delivery of complex architectural projects.
• Manage architectural activities throughout the full project lifecycle, from concept design through construction support.
• Provide technical leadership, oversight, and direction to architectural and BIM teams.
• Review architectural designs, drawings, specifications, and other project deliverables for compliance and quality.
• Ensure architectural designs comply with project requirements, building codes, authority regulations, and fire and life safety standards.
• Promote design excellence while ensuring solutions are practical, constructible, and aligned with client objectives.
• Monitor the quality and progress of architectural activities to meet production requirements and deadlines.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and multidisciplinary leads to resolve design, staffing, and coordination issues.
• Manage architectural scope, schedules, resources, and budgets while maintaining design integrity.
• Establish and maintain architectural design standards, procedures, and quality assurance processes.
• Lead multidisciplinary design coordination with various engineering disciplines and review BIM models for conflicts.
• Act as a primary architectural interface with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
• Provide technical support during construction, including reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, and RFIs.
• Mentor and develop architectural staff, supporting technical growth and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 20+ years of progressive architectural experience, including significant supervisory and design management roles.
• Internationally recognized professional architectural license or registration.
• Extensive experience leading architectural design and delivery for complex, large-scale projects.
• Proven experience managing multidisciplinary architectural teams throughout the full design and construction lifecycle.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, authority approval processes, and design risk management.
• Experience establishing and governing architectural design standards and technical procedures.
• Strong understanding of BIM execution and digital design coordination in multidisciplinary environments.
• Proven ability to manage project scope, resources, schedules, budgets, and architectural deliverables.
• Excellent leadership, mentoring, team management, and staff development capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Desired Skills and Attributes

• Experience delivering major commercial, transportation, infrastructure, mixed-use, or large-scale development programs.
• Experience working within PMC, Delivery Partner, design consultancy, or client-side project environments.
• Advanced knowledge of fire and life safety design and its integration within complex architectural projects.
• Strong understanding of BIM, digital engineering, computational design, and emerging architectural technologies.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles, high-performance buildings, and relevant environmental certification frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to develop architectural standards, governance frameworks, and design quality assurance processes.
• Strong commercial awareness and understanding of design scope, risk, and change management.
• Innovative approach to solving complex design, technical, and constructability challenges.
