Project Director

About the Role

Dussmann-Ajlan & Bros is seeking a Project Director to join their team in Umluj, Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the delivery of facilities management consultancy projects, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, client expectations, and applicable standards. The Project Director will act as a trusted advisor to clients, oversee FM service provider performance, lead multidisciplinary consultancy teams, and drive operational improvement, asset performance, and financial results.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct FM consultancy projects, ensuring services meet agreed scope, quality standards, budgets, and delivery timelines.
• Develop project delivery plans, allocate resources, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress against milestones.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, safety requirements, and relevant standards including SFG20, NFPA, SBC, ASHRAE, CIBSE, and BICSc.
• Serve as the primary senior point of contact for clients, FM service providers, and internal stakeholders, building strong client relationships.
• Oversee FM service providers, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, service level agreements, and key performance indicators.
• Lead asset condition surveys and assessments, overseeing the preparation of asset replacement plans and associated tender documents.
• Lead the preparation of requests for proposals (RFPs), scopes of work, service specifications, and evaluation criteria.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary FM consultancy teams, setting clear objectives and accountability.
• Manage the profit and loss (P&L) performance of assigned FMC projects and contribute to company financial objectives.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in facilities management, consultancy, or related operations.
• At least 5 years of experience in client-side FM consultancy or managing agent roles.
• Proven experience managing large-scale, high-profile, or VVIP facilities within government or corporate environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and overseeing FM service providers.
• Strong experience in asset condition assessments, FM tendering, mobilization, performance management, and technical advisory services.
• Proven capability in project budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.
• Certified Facility Manager (CFM) or Facility Management Professional (FMP).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2.
• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) or Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
• Relevant BICSc qualifications.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate or relevant OSHA training.
• Master of Business Administration (MBA) is an advantage.
